Completion Engineer

Completions Operations Engineer

General Responsibilities

  • Responsible for completion/testing design and operational planning in Ghana Deepwater
  • Ensures EHS requirements are integral to all aspects of completion, well testing and well intervention activities.
  • Contribute to delivering operational EHS performance.
  • Provide operational programmes which account for and dictate best EHS practise.
  • Lead by example during rig visits and foster a solid EHS culture.
  • Ensures that all completion activities comply with company standards and governmental regulations.
  • Overall responsibility for optimising completions/testing/well intervention well planning, costing and operations for one or more rigs.
  • Provides completions input to team and well engineering delivery objectives as necessary.
  •  Ensures that all work within the area of responsibility is adequately documented and lessons learned are captured for the benefit of future operations worldwide.
  •  Ensure well material and service providers comply with specified quality assurance requirements.
  • Liaise with sub-surface personnel to ensure reservoir requirements are delivered.
  • Build effective relationships and interact professionally with internal/external stakeholders and service companies.
  • Assist in the management of the service contracts and contractor performance process.
  • Provide on-time well engineering services which represent best industry practice.
Specific Responsibilities
Operational Support
  • Prepare and be responsible for completion/testing/HXT programmes with assistance provide bymembers in the completion and subsea team as required.
  • Facilitate pre-completion reviews
  • Provides operational support to completion, testing and well intervention activities.
  • Provides assistance to prepare the rig for upcoming completions and subsea activities.
  • Provides technical engineering support for the operations to the Rig Superintendent.
  • Attendance at daily conference calls (rig and London)
  • Liaises with subcontractors, authorities and partners as required.
  • Monitor and measure well performance: Daily NPT, Daily cost tracking,QA/QC Wellview DDR data quality
  • End of well performance memo’s
  • Weekly cost reports
  • Reviews invoices to verify work scope, personnel services, etc.
  • Initiates and follow ups on MOC documentation
  • Initiates FIR’s
  • Manage wash-up meetings
  • Prepares and is responsible for issuing EOWR’s
  • Assist in planning future wells and ensuring required materials and services are available in country and allocated as required.
  • Ensure Well Handover documents are QA/QC and completed in a timely manner.
  • Is responsible for contingency planning and preparation.
