Sales/Contract Engineer, Great Yarmouth

About: 

A manufacturer of Well-Head Equipment in accordance with API Specifications, as well as other Oilfield equipment to Industry Standards and Clients’ specifications and therefore a good working knowledge of this range of products will be an advantage for the position of Sales / Contract Engineer.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a knowledge of technical specifications and have the ability to assist in preparing bids, submitting technical quotations and following up enquiries generated by the sales team.
Purchasing materials and preparing works instructions for the completion of orders is also part of the remit for this post.
The candidate will need to have the ability to work unsupervised after training, have excellent time management skills and be able to remain focussed and calm under pressure.
Key responsibilities for this position will include, but not be limited to:-
  • Assisting in the preparation of Sales Quotations and Bids
  • Assist in Project and Stock Purchasing
  • Provide exemplary customer service to both internal and external clients on a daily basis
  • Ensure the effective co-ordination of Project documentation on an on-going basis
 
 
Sales-Contract Engineer Job Description
 
Role Purpose
  • As a Sales-Contract Engineer, you will be required to primarily identify, create and maintain business opportunities for the growth of the business. This is to be achieved through on-going development of current accounts and looking at new client opportunities whilst providing technical and commercially viable solutions, as well as aiding in the business development by supporting the BD Manager and sales team to ensure all sales activities for the company are actioned and fulfilled.  Providing collaboration with other OpCo’s manufacturing requirements for support, liaising with parent company group sales teams to ensure collaborative offerings are obtained.
 
Key Accountabilities and Outputs 
 
Sales Function
  • Timely responses to Customer RFQ’s, provide customers with quotations.
  • To provide customers with technical advice.
  • Ensure customer adherence to company terms and conditions
  • Network with the parent company sales teams to ensure collaborative offerings are obtained
  • Enter data into the company sales database system and any other required company Office programs
  • Liaise with manufacturing/engineering to compile and Issue documentation packages as required, ensuring all documentation packages are available in a timely manner in line with actual production.
  • Customer Liaison with regards to progress of work, commercial issues and service/product supply and ensure customers are updated on order status
  • When required, planning of workshop activities to meet customer requirements, contract deadlines and output requirements
  • Order book management, to ensure compliance with customer order requirement, progress reports and maintain output targets in line with monthly forecast and strategic targets.
  • Aid in the undertaking of pre/post contract reviews.
  • Procurement of materials, spares and third party actions/services to meet delivery requirements
  • Aid when required to prepare contract files for timely invoicing, final sign off and closure
