Training and CMAS Supervisor

The Training & CMAS Supervisor will be responsible for organizing, scheduling, documenting, reporting and performance managing all training and competency within the In Amenas JV.  Training is currently provided via in-house resources supplemented by technical discipline training resources supplied by a third party contract. 

In addition to a core staff of approximately 400 personnel there are over 100 graduate trainees.  The training and competency programme therefore covers the full range of experience levels.

This position requires a high level of managerial and organisational skills to ensure that a robust training and competency programme is put in-place and progress is performance managed.  Previous experience in a similar role and an in-depth knowledge of training and competency is therefore essential.

NB  CMAS is the Competence Management Assurance System which has been developed as the tool to manage competence assurance. CMAS is about matching the skills of individuals to the skills required for the roles which they hold and highlighting any training or competence requirements

Key Roles and Responsibilities

The Key roles and responsibilities of the Training & CMAS Supervisor are:

·        Manage the training and competency programme across the In Amenas JV ensuring that robust processes are in-place and the training and competency programme is delivered in-line with relevant standards and best industry practice

·        Develop the existing training and CMAS processes and procedures

·        Establish and maintain the training and competence plan

·        Establish KPIs and prepare reports on progress to the In Amenas Management Team

·        Arrange for external training service providers where required to supplement in-house training and competency trainer/assessor resource Perform competency assessments on operations technicians to required standard.

·        Maintain records of training and CMAS assessments in the database.

·        Coach and train the In Amenas Training Team.

 

Experience & Other Requirements

The candidate must have at least 15 years relevant experience in petroleum processing operations and a proven track record/experience in a similar training/competency management role.  Overseas experience is highly desirable.

The candidate should be fluent in English.  French is highly desirable.

He or She must also have had at least 10 years’ experience at a supervisor, coaching and advising level

·        Have good computer and IT skills

·        Have good coaching skills
