Applications Functional Specialist

TEAM Energy is currently seeking a qualified Applications Functional Specialist for a staff position in Dubai.

Role description

TEAM Energy is hiring on the behalf of a leading organisation in the oil and gas sector.

The successful candidate will provide support services on the implementation, integration and on-going administration of all DPE systems and applications.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for solution review, assisting in IT System testing, facilitating User Accepting Testing (UAT) and carrying out change management for Oracle bug fixes and enhancement.
  • Responsible for User Account Management for Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Solution.
  • Provide support to current users of all Dubai Petroleum Establishment (DPE) applications and other business applications, to achieve maximum benefits' realisation. Include ensuring user documentation is prepared, that users are provided with training, and that appropriate security and authorisations are in place.

Experience

  • 10+ years IT industry experience.
  • Previous experience in the energy sector.
  • Functional experience in Oracle E-Business Suite.
  • Experience / Knowledgeable in Oracle database programming.
  • Experience with non-ERP applications / integrated applications with ERP.
  • Upstream oil/gas industry experience is a strong advantage.
  • Experience in modern project delivery methodologies (E.G. Agile) and small-scale application project management is essential.

Qualifications

  • Degree educated in IT or a related discipline.
