Directly promote, by example and leadership, sound Health, Safety,
Environmental and quality principles and practices.
Review contractor construction submittals such as method statements, work packs, and concrete casting plans in sufficient detail to allow construction activities to be planned and executed in a safe and efficient manner.
Work with contractor’s design team and engineering team to review constructability of design and attend field survey and onshore meetings for project implementation.
Work with the design and procurement teams to ensure timely release of
design information and secure suitable material delivery periods.
Ensure fabrication activities are planned and executed to meet
the requirements of the installation program.
Provide input to the planning team to develop and update accurate and
realistic implementation schedules.
In conjunction with the contractor to establish the supervision, manpower
and equipment requirements for each work package and ensure these are implemented on site.
Spend significant time on the construction site supervising contractor work progress, monitoring changes in work environment or conditions, and ensuring compliance to control measures.
Provide daily feedback to the Lead Construction Engineer, Project
Engineer and Project Manager.
Work closely with the contractor to facilitate the mobilisation and de-
mobilisation of the necessary manpower, materials and equipment.
Monitor contractor progress against schedule and provide
recommendations for corrective actions and improvement to project management.
