A leading energy producer in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Senior Instrument Commissioning Engineer to join their Engineering department. In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for all instrumentation commissioning activities within multi-disciplinary teams. You will be responsible for ensuring that systems are delivered safely, on schedule, and in strict accordance with international standards.
Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement detailed commissioning strategies, test procedures, and project schedules for instrumentation systems.
Technical Oversight: Oversee calibration, functional testing, and performance verification.
Project Integration: Provide technical input during the design phase to improve system operability and efficiency.
Troubleshooting: Lead the resolution of complex instrumentation issues during the commissioning phase.
Collaboration: Coordinate between internal stakeholders (Engineering, Operations, HSEOI) and external vendors or third-party contractors.
Leadership: Manage a team of discipline engineers and deputize for the Lead Commissioning Engineer as required.
10+ years of varied experience in instrument design, installation, hook-up, and commissioning within the Oil & Gas industry (Onshore and Offshore).
Education: HNC, HND, or B.Sc. Degree in Instrument Engineering (or equivalent).
Technical Mastery: Hands-on experience with Mechanical Completion, Pre-commissioning, and Commissioning.
System Knowledge: Working knowledge of DCS, PLC, HMI programming, and field instrumentation.
Safety Leadership: Previous experience as an Authorized
LV Isolation Authority and familiarity with PTW and LOTO procedures.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written English; ability to influence personnel at all levels in a multi-cultural environment.
Mobility: A valid UAE driving license (or the ability to obtain one).
